 The management has an objective of socio-economic
development in the surrounding area and always paid its
attention to keep the environment clean and healthy.
Hence, we have provided a full-fledged state of the art
Common Effluent Treatment Plant for treating the
industrial effluents, which achieves the maximum
treatment of effluents conforming to the Maharashtra
Pollution Control Board norms. It has provided a good
environment in and around the company.
Our Effluent Treatment Plant consists of UASB –
Biodigestors through which we convert ‘Waste to Energy’.
The biogas generated from Biodigestors is used in our
Boilers and in Dryers etc. which helps our national
campaign ‘Save Fuel – Save Nation’. The project has been
assisted by MNES, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The UASB –
Biodigestors reduce the pollution load of effluents and
is followed by Aeration System. The treated effluents
are being utilized on the agricultural land
(approximately 300 acres) where a variety of
economically important trees are growned in the form of
‘Green Belt Development’.
Rain Water Harvesting is also achieved to participate
the program introduced by the District Collector.
The management is also installed the Wind Mill
Project having capacity to generate 0.6 MW power.
The Company also received from MCCIA, Pune – "Dr.
R. J. Rathi Award", for our efforts in environmental
pollution control for the year – 2003. |
